How Can I Have My Company/Organization Listed?

To have your company or organization listed with us, simply click on the "free listing" menu item in the upper-right corner of your browser window.

When submitting your information, please follow these tips:

  • Full Company Name - Also include a brief description
  • Full Address - Spell out your state or province, and be sure to use postal codes.  People will often search by cities, states, or postal codes.
  • Phone Numbers
  • Website Address
  • Full Description - In your description, use keywords that will get your listing noticed.  Think about what people might be searching for when looking for a business or organization like yours.
  • Keywords - Include a list of keywords separated by commas.  Although these will be hidden from view, they will help people find your listing since our search feature (and search engines) will look at these when indexing your listing.
 
MAC Operating System - general errors...

We have had several reports from MAC users concerning issues such as:

  • Buttons not responding when clicked
  • Search not working properly
  • Registration not working
  • Sending Emails using the Contact Us form

We are aware of these issues and are working with the developers to try to resolve them.

Meanwhile, most MAC users report better results in general on the internet when using the Mozilla Firefox browser.  You may consider downloading this browser to prevent future issues.

In the first part, the description, you should enter a one (1) sentence description of your business or organization.  It should thoroughly describe your operations, goals, and objectives.

In the second part, keywords, enter all the keywords that might be important to someone who is searching for your page or site.  Be sure to include things such as: glbt, lgbt, glbt friendly, gay friendly, etc.

Here we attempt to cover some of the most important aspects of creating your listing.

1.  General Tips using the WYSIWYG editor? 

You can cut and paste into the editor.  However, we recommend that you DO NOT cut and paste from MS Word, or similar programs.  These programs include large amounts of hidden data that will produce unexpected, and undesirable results.  If you are cutting from this type of document, first paste it into an simple text editor such as NotePad, and then cut and paste from that document into the WYSIWYG.  This produces much better results.

3. How do I edit my listing? 

Once your listing has been approved by one of our editors and published, you will be able to make modifications to that listing. 

To do so, simply log in to your account and find your listing using the search function.

Near the upper-right corner of your listing, you will see an icon with a pencil and paper (see above).  Click on this icon, and it will open up the WYSIWYG editor that you used to originally create your listing.

Be sure to save your listing once edits have been made.
